We all know about using exercise to keep our bodies fit, but what about our brains?
Well, there is more to brain fitness than doing a crossword or Sudoku puzzle. Now experts say there are actually six categories to mental workouts which will help us stave off memory loss. These include: critical thinking, body movement, step-by-step sequencing, learning something new, devising analytics solutions, and doing regular long-term memory exercises. Some of the exercises you can do include debating a topic from the opposite viewpoint with which you agree or looking up a new vocabulary word and using it for a week or even learning or relearning a foreign language.
